Much of the walk is sheltered by trees and so is a good choice for windy winter days. This is easy walking along a series of country lanes, footpaths and tracks.

The Donkey is nestled in the dip at Charles Hill and is a small and cosy village pub with a warm welcome and friendly staff. It features in The Good Pub Guide and certainly deserves its place there.

There is plenty of outdoor seating in the garden The food is not cheap by pub standards but it has an interesting menu and is restaurant quality. It serves Abbot Ale, London Pride plus a good cup of tea.
