The Black Horse Inn is a traditional pub set in the delightful village of Nuthurst, surrounded by the beautiful Sussex countryside. At the time of writing (May 2010), the pub has recently come under new management and has provided us with the updated information below. So why not give it a try and then add your comments to this site?

The pub offers a wide selection of beers and wine, in addition to a superb lunch and dinner menu created by the head chef. The Black Horse Inn dates back to the 17th Century, once serving the nearby Sedgewick Park, a hunting lodge used by Henry VIII.

Today, the pub offers a contemporary interior in addition to front and rear garden terraces, ideal to enjoy food and refreshments in a relaxing and peaceful environment.

The Black Horse Inn has been accredited with a number of awards, including: AA Best Country Pub for Food, ‘Times’ Pub of the Year and features in both The Good Pub Guide and the AA Pub Guide where it is one of the AA's "Pick of the Pubs".

This is one of a series of walks contributed by The Black Horse Inn. Links to their other walks can be found below.
