UPDATE – June 2012
Please read “The Impassable Walk” comment for this pub walk from someone who attempted this recently. Now severely overgrown!
The George Inn features in The Good Beer Guide and remains a super friendly village local so if you know an alternative walk, please do let us know.  Thank you.

The George Inn at Middlezoy is a traditional village pub with flagstone floors, beams and open fires.  It has a friendly atmosphere and the staff are keen to please.  There are tables for eating both in the public bar (more busy with darts at one end) and the lounge which is quieter. The menu features home-made food, much of it sourced locally, and is very reasonably priced.

The George was CAMRA Pub of the Year in 2000 and regularly features in The Good Beer Guide.

They serve a wide range of cask ales with 600 different ones offered in the last 3 years.
