The inspiring story of Ye Olde Cherry Tree
This site is dedicated to
the joint interests of walking and our great pub institution. We love to read
an inspiring story of community pub that has suffered periods of closure only
to fight back and show that it is a survivor against the odds. Ye Olde Cherry
Tree has such a story and is proud of it.
We came across
Ye Olde Cherry Tree when it registered as a participating pub in the search
for The Nation's Favourite Pub Walk. When pubs
register, we always take a look at their website (if they have one) and this
time it was a very different site. It has not been updated for a while, it has
no fancy graphics, no detailed menus or the like, but it does have a great story
