The Winners **
The
Nation's Favourite Pub Walk 2007
The first
ever Quest for The Nation's Favourite Pub Walk was announced to celebrate the
launch of MyFavouritePubWalks.com on 29 March 2007. Prizes were generously donated
by The Ramblers Association,
Ebury Press (The Good
Pub Guide) and the Blacks
Group alongside the free memberships, profit sharing and free advertising
offered by the new pub walks website.
Entries are
now in, votes have been cast, judging has been completed and we are ready to
announce the winners and distribute the prizes. The winning entries are summarised
below with links to the pub walks including routes and images. To see them all
as a set of search results, simply click on "Top
10 Favourites" on the left hand menu where the winning entries
can all be downloaded free by members.
Finally, many
thanks to all those who entered. If you have more pub walks to share, remember
that all those submitted before 31 December will also be entered into a prize
draw for a copy of "The Walker's Companion" donated and published
by The Ramblers Association
- and that is in addition to getting a year's free downloads of all the other
walks and a share in the site's profits!
